Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying the lovely weather! We certainly were!

A group of us Erasmus students went on a day trip to Hamburg (which with our semester ticket was free) And walked around the city and went to one of the river beaches. There were about 20 of us who left in the morning for the train which took about 75 minutes. When we arrived in the city, we walked around seeing some of the sights like the town hall and the port, before we reached the river boat station, which for just over €2 took us upstream to one of the river beaches (and with it being almost 30˚C, meant many people had turned up). The rest of the group stayed later and went into the city to party, but with classes and nights out all week I decided to go home and sleep. It was a good trip and nice that so many of us went.

Back in Bremen things seem quite weird....We can't register for modules until Tuesday (or even see the timetable), yet the lectures appear to begin on Tuesday too. (Monday is the National Day, and so is a bank holiday) So it all seems very disorganised!

Schnoor, Bremen

On Friday we had a city scavenger hunt in the Afternoon, where we were all put into 11 groups. It cost everyone €5 and the teams who placed in the top 3 won some prizes. After it had concluded, we sat down in one of the lecture theatres and were given some food. It was such a lovely warm day that it was really nice to see the city sights like the Roland statue and the Schnoor area (very similar to The Shambles in York). And luckily for us we came 2nd so we won some prizes - well worth that €5! haha.

Hope you all enjoy what's left of the lovely weather!

So guys, today I enrolled at the Uni which meant I got given my Semester ticket, giving me unlimited transport around the city and local area for free. We also had an introduction where they enrolled us and I got to meet about a third of the other students, including all those from Britain (including one girl who even goes to UH!)

In the session we were given lots of important details and some freebies (like a bag, pens, notepad etc) and we also did a quiz about EU/Germany/Bremen (You will be pleased to hear that I won the quiz by getting every question right, winning myself a Hochschule Mug). In the afternoon we had our first German session (these ones are free) and I was rather good, so from tomorrow I am being moved up a level. Because it was such a nice day, and we finished early, I went into the city with one of my housemates to see the sites like the Cathedral, Town Hall and the Roland monument (As I guess correctly during the quiz, he represents the separation of the church from the lives of the citizens of the city)

Hi guys!

So as you can see I have arrived in 1 piece! Took the coach to Stansted yesterday and then flew straight to Bremen and was picked up by my landlord and landlady at the airport. I met some of my housemates last night who are really nice. Some more (there will be 8 of us in total) are arriving in the coming days before the intro week begins on Monday.

Today I went out on my own for the first time, to go get some food in Aldi (lol). Tonight we are going out in Bremen as a group which should be good! Kevin.
